How to set up MS Authenticator App with Notification Enabled?

  1. When you launch your Outlook, Office, or SharePoint.  You will be prompted with a web browser message “More information required." Click “Next.”

       

  1. Select “Mobile app” from the dropdown then click “Set up.

        

 

3. Select the "Receive notifications for verification" option & click Set up.

       

 

4.   Scan the QR image generated below on your mobile app.

 

            

 

 

Instructions to Configure MS Authenticator App on your Smartphone:

1. Download & Install MS Authenticator App from App Store for IOS and from Google Play for Android 

               

                  

            2. Open the MS Authenticator App and Click “+” to add an account.

                    

           3. Choose “Work or school account”.

                 

 

           4. When prompt, choose "Scan QR image”

                  

 

5. When finished with setup on your smartphone, return to your computer browser session and click “Next.”   

 

                      

 

6. A test notification will be sent to your mobile app. Tap “Approve.”                  

                                                                    

 

7.  Your setup is complete.
